About Stellarcon

Stellarcon is a general fantasy, science fiction, horror, and comics fiction convention held in High Point, NC. Drawing an average of 500 fans each year, we have an intimate convention setting where you can sit and relax with fans and guests alike. You won’t find long lines for events or autographs here.

We’ll have our gaming website up shortly, but in the meantime, we’ve started working on gaming the old fashioned way. Hop on over to the forums, where we’ve set up a thread to start getting information on what games you’d like to run and when. We’ll approve forum registrations just as fast as we can!

Hotel Name Change As of 1/1/2009, our convention hotel will no longer be affiliated with Radisson Hotels. The only change will be the hotel’s name – it’s now the Hotel High Point. Your reservation is safe and sound (you have reserved a room, right?).

There’s now a description of the LARP on the Gaming page

And a reminder that ad space in the program is still available. Requirements and prices are as follows:
  • $10 for business card size – 2.5“x4”
  • $25 for quarter page – 4.25×5.5”
  • $50 for half page – 8.5×5.5”
  • $100 for full page – 8.5×11”
Images must be grayscale, PDF is preferred but high quality JPG is acceptable. At least 250 dpi is required, 300dpi preferred. Remember, if you’ve not already arranged a spot, they are available on a first-come, first-served basis so….Hurry! For more information contact program@stellarcon.org.

StellarCon 33 is pleased to announce our Guests of Honor for this year.

Our Writer Guests of Honor are the husband and wife team of Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, who are best known for their works in creating and writing in the Liaden Universe.

Our Artist Guest of Honor is William Stout, who is most well known for his numerous pictures of dinosaurs of a wide variety.

Our Gaming Guest of Honor is John Wick, who has written for and developed numerous games, most notably 7th Sea, Legend of the Five Rings, and Orkworld.

Our Fan Guest of Honor is Tim ‘Uncle Timmy’ Bolgeo. Uncle Timmy has run the wonderful LibertyCon for years, and has contributed to Southern Fandom for even longer.

Until January 1st pre-reg rates are $33 for adults and $12 for children. After January 1st the rates go up to $38 for adults and $17 for children between 6–12 so be sure to make your reservation as soon as possible.

StellarCon 33 is still at the Downtown Radisson in High Point, North Carolina. Hotel Rooms are $80/night and can be reserved at (336) 889–8888. Be sure to mention you are with StellarCon to get the StellarCon room rate.

Spring has sprung, the grass has ris, here is where the updates is – there’s a new flyer to plaster everywhere, registration information is posted, and the summer meeting schedule is up! As always, keep an eye on the forums for breaking news, and general mayhem.
